Join us in redefining how
robotics are built as a

Software Engineer

Role Overview

Location: On-site in Budapest, HU

We're looking for a highly capable, technically versatile Software Engineer to help build the core software platform that transforms high-level robotic concepts into precise, manufacturable braided structures.

You'll develop algorithms, tools, and interfaces that allow users to design complex robotic features, and translate them into low-level instructions for our braiding machines — working closely with other internal teams to help them deliver complex robotic features.

You'll have enormous ownership, shape our technical culture, and make architectural decisions that will define our software for years to come. This is a high-autonomy, high-impact role where your work directly translates to physically tangible products — for someone who thrives working across the full stack and wants to build the software foundation of an entirely new manufacturing platform.

What You’ll Do

  • Own high-impact features — from conception to delivery, you'll take full ownership and deliver features end-to-end
  • Work across the stack — from low-level braiding algorithms and hardware control to frontend experiences, you'll touch every layer
  • Build the foundation — implement core systems for our design platform using Rust, React, and TypeScript
  • Collaborate across disciplines — work closely with UX designers, mechanical/electrical engineers, and other software engineers to bridge digital design and physical manufacturing
  • Shape our engineering culture — collaborate in establishing practices, processes, and technical standards as one of our first engineers
  • Write for the long term — produce maintainable, well-documented, thoroughly tested code that will scale with our platform

What You Bring

Required

  • 3+ years of professional SWE experience — you have built applications and delivered deployable code over frontend, backend or both
  • Strong foundations in CS or related STEM field— algorithms, data structures, system design
  • Solid understanding of mathematics — linear algebra, geometry, and spatial reasoning
  • Rapid learner and technical generalist — you thrive on absorbing new concepts quickly and aren't intimidated by deep technical domains outside your current expertise
  • Ability to write clean, maintainable code — understanding of documentation, architecture and testing

Bonus Points

  • Experience in early-stage startup environments
  • Background in robotics, computational geometry, or graphics
  • Worked on software that interfaces with real-world hardware
  • Understanding of robotics, mechanical systems, or materials science
  • Intricate knowledge of algorithmic braiding (we can dream, right? 😉)

Personal Attributes

  • Generalist mindset — thrives on understanding how software, hardware, and manufacturing interact, and enjoys working across domains.
  • High-autonomy engineer who takes ownership and drives features from idea to production.
  • Curious, adaptable, and eager to dive into unfamiliar technical domains.
  • Comfortable working across boundaries — from algorithms and data structures to UX and hardware interfaces.
  • Understands that code is read more than it is written — thoughtful about clarity, maintainability, and reliability.
  • Team player with a collaborative mindset — values open communication, shared problem-solving, and mentoring of colleagues

Why Join?

  • World-changing technology — work alongside a world-class team, and take part in fundamentally changing how robotics are built
  • Founding team opportunity — shape the technical foundation and culture from day one
  • Competitive salary — we value talent and offer fair compensation for your expertise
  • Work on something new — solve problems that no one else is solving
  • Physical impact — your code controls tangible machines that build real, physical products
  • Cross-disciplinary learning — expand your knowledge across software, engineering, and robotics in your everyday work and at professional events
  • Flexible work hours — hybrid work setup possible
  • Community a supportive and design-driven culture where sharing ideas, communication and hands-on collaboration are part of the day-to-day, and failure is considered a learning opportunity

Ready?

If you’re interested in coding the connective tissue between high-level robotics design and low-level manufacturing automation — we want to hear from you!
